interpreters and the code of ethics is contained in "Medical Interpreting and
Cultural Competency" from Interpreter Services, Office of Community & Patient
Relations, Stanford Hospital & Clinics (Feb. 1998, 1st Edition). It discusses
the interpreter's role when translating, when working with the patient, when
interacting with health provider, among others. It also discusses skills
development, cultural awareness, crisis intervention, and other relevant
analyses written by interpreters and physicians alike.
